I know you love your dog and find it precious, but people who come to your home may not love your dog. They may even find it...brace yourself...repulsive. If your dog can't stay off of your visitors, please place it out of site. 

Signs your guests may find your pet's advances offensive:

They recoil and/or shudder when it approaches

They don't pet your pet, or look it in the eye

They mutter 'isn't that swell' when the pet jumps into their lap

They didn't arrive covered in their own pet's hair

Just some thoughts for those blinded by dog-love.

two things I love today

my new album...She & him, Volume One. It's so great. Zooey Deschanel has a fantastic voice and I love her retro style vocals. It's like your favorite girl-group from the sixties just came out with a new album. My only complaint is that the covers seem to lack a little, which is a testament to their great abilities and creativity. She has such great personal style, too. What a cute girl. 

And, my new vita mix! I have wanted one forever and they had them at costco this week,
